Learn ta Stand
as a wee little lad
me fatha told me "son
ya musta learn ta stand
and when ya stand stand tall
'cause in the end
all men fall
ya'll fall with the best'a men
ya may's well fall down hard"
I learnt ta walk'n'talk
I learnt ta run'n'hide
I learnt how ta take a stand
and how ta fall down hard
'cause in the end
my fatha fell
he fell with the best'a men
I watched him fall down hard
I learnt my trade with blade
I learnt my trade with gun
I learnt when ta take a stand
and how ta fall down hard
where my fatha fell
we fell with the best'a men
I learnt to fall down hard
she taught my heart ta beat
she taught my heart ta live
then she showed me where ta stand
and in time I fell into the love
where my fatha fell
I fell with the best'a women
I learnt to fall down hard
now me wee little lad
me only blessed son
ya musta learn to stand
and when ya stand stand tall
'cause on my day
I'll fall hard
I'll fall like the best'a men
never to rise again
me fatha told me "son
ya musta learn ta stand
and when ya stand stand tall
'cause in the end
all men fall
ya'll fall with the best'a men
ya may's well fall down hard"

25 Random Things About Me
Thanks to Christine for the challenge. Here are 25 random things about me.
1. I am a wood dragon. In the Sexagenary calender used by the Chinese, five elements (earth, water, metal, fire, wood) are used for a five year cycle, while a 12 animal zodiac is used for a 12 year cycle. The 60th birthday is an auspicious occasion, as one has lived a full life.
2. I hate neckties, but I like shirts with Mandarin collars.
3. I have two cameras manufactured by Canon. I think of my DSLR as my "big gun" and the smaller point-and-shoot as my "CCW."
4. I have a yellow belt in Taekwondo.
5. I miss South Korea.
6. I believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, and there is no other way to enter into the presence of our Father except through Him.
7. I am a terrible Sabbathkeeper, but I am working on it.
8. I am a loner, but one of the good guys.
9. I believe that professional wrestling features better writing compared to the major political parties in the US.
10. I like history, photography, and travel.
11. Korean movies are better than Thai movies.
12. Carabao rocks! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carabao_(band)
13. Few people understand my sense of humor.
14. One of my earliest memories is falling asleep seconds after Star Trek came on one night. I wanted to see it, and got as far as the title of the episode. It was "Spock's Brain." It would be nearly ten years before I saw the episode all the way through. I'm old school, so call me a Trekkie.
15. If my next computer isn't an Apple, then there won't be a next computer.
16. The only brand names to which I feel any loyalty to are Apple Computer, The North Face, Canon, Epson, and Cabela's.
17. Classical music agitates me. I find it easier to relax to rock music.
18. Of the three car accidents in which I was involved, only one was my fault. I hate cars.
19. I need to learn Thai massage.
20. I am an Idealist. It is the price I pay for having been f'n pragmatic and facing reality all my life.
21. I have no desire to return to the US. There is more of the world to see.
22. Closed minds, closed hearts, closed caskets. One. Same.
23. Can say "thank you" in seven languages. - domo arigato, kamsahamnida, merci, korp kum krap, gracias, danka, hvala
24. Seoul, South Korea; Bangkok, Thailand; Vientiane, Laos; Washington, DC. Four world capitals I have visited. Got a long list of places to go before the end.
25. I believe in love, but I don't believe in romance.
